Zilco Elastic Hopple Shorteners for Harness RacingMade from heavy duty elastic with Zilco strapping ends and stainless steel buckles. The straps are attached to the hopples next to the hopple connecting straps. They are adjusted to be shorter than the connecting straps, so that the horse "feels" the hopples, but the elastic allows the horse to stride out to the connecting strap length.
